Randall Ray Lewis, age 66, of Sapulpa Oklahoma was called home by his loving heavenly Father on October 12th, 2021. Randall passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and beloved friend, Pastor Greg Ables.

Randall was born in Cushing, Oklahoma on November 19th, 1954, to Ted Lewis and Betty Campbell-Lewis. Randall graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1973. As a senior in high school, he began working at Gasso Pump on May 1, 1973. Although the company was rebranded and had various owners over the years, Randall remained a dedicated employee until his retirement from National Oilwell Varco on May 1, 2015.

Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Ted Lewis and Betty Campbell-Lewis, both of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Randall is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Lewis of Sapulpa Oklahoma; one son, Randy Lewis of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; one grandson, Noah Lewis of Tulsa Oklahoma; and his sister, Raydene Walker of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. As well as host of family and friends.

Randall married his junior high sweetheart and love of his life, Phyllis Hanks. Randall and Phyllis met when they were 14 years old; and after Randall stalked her, Phyllis confided in a childhood friend that she would one day marry him. On June 30th, 2021, Randall and Phyllis celebrated 48 years of marital bliss. These two have been inseparable for 52 years. This couple enjoyed experiencing many adventures together such as riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, Corvettes, jet boats, and hang gliding…really anything that went fast. After vacationing for the first time on the island of Kauai some 17 years ago, Randall and Phyllis realized they had discovered their own personal oasis. Kauai became their second home. They enjoyed vacationing there every year since.

Randall enjoyed spending time with family and friends. A special memory that his grandson Noah shared was that his Daw always had a joke for any situation. He was Daw to Noah and to Noah’s close friends. They spent every Friday night for many years and had countless adventures at Randall and Phyllis’ home. Randall had many interests such as hunting and fishing, rebuilding classic cars, woodworking, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, driving his Harley Davidson truck, cooking, and grilling. Randall could cook, build, and fix anything. He always completed Phyllis’ special projects with a laugh and his own personal desire for perfection. Where some people wear many different hats, Randall wore many different outfits…from jeans and cowboy boots, to Hawaiian shirts and flip flops, to tuxedos (with cowboy boots, of course), Randall seemed to fit in anywhere. Randall rarely met a stranger, and all who met him soon realized what a truly special man he was. Randall was always quick to laugh and joke and even quicker to help anyone. None of us will forget his unique way with words such as “fixin’ ready” or “finer than frog’s hair.” Randall had perfected his own secret barbeque sauce recipe, if you were lucky enough to have gotten to taste it, you will never forget it. Everyone was excited for Christmas because they knew Randall would make them a jar.
