Phillip Morris Furstenberg, 74, of Sapulpa Oklahoma passed from this life Friday, May 21, 2021, in his home surrounded by family.

Phil was born Daniel Lane Trueblood in Decatur, Illinois on January 27, 1947 to Hazel and Roy Trueblood. At six months old, he was adopted by Dorothy Ellen and Myron Lockhart Furstenberg. He graduated from Niantic-Harristown High School in 1965 and attended college at Millikin University.

After college, Phil served as a Captain in the United States Army from 1966 to 1970, during the Vietnam War Era. On November 16, 1984, Phil married Kimberly Ann Wolf. They were married for 36 years.

Phil was self-employed as an aerial photographer until his retirement in 2007. He was actively involved in First Christian Church, and started the Forgotten Families Ministry, an outreach to family members of inmates of the Creek County Jail. Phil was a member of the American Legion (Post 36) and the Disabled American Veterans (Creek County – Chapter 9).

Phil was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Linda Trueblood, Ember Shrum, Sharon Martin, and Suzanne Eccles.

Phil is survived by his wife Kimberly, children and their spouses: Sean Lyons, Travis McManus, Jennifer Smith and husband Eric, Megan Furstenberg, Danielle Mayes and husband Ricky, Jill Mozarko and husband Kevin; grandchildren Seth Smith, Heather Smith, and Ethan Brownfield; siblings Bing Furstenberg, Jayne Morgan, John Mallernee, Phyllis Adams, Karen Lentfer, and Tim Dobbs.

There will be a visitation from 5:00pm-7:00pm, Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at the First Christian Church, 220 E. Lee, Sapulpa. Graveside services will be 10:00am, Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, 400 E. Teel, Sapulpa.
