Pauline Jewel Canfield Hockett White 82, of Sapulpa departed from this life on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Aberdeen Memory Care, Tulsa, OK. She was born June 30, 1936 to Orville and Jewel (Smith) Canfield in Creek County, Oklahoma. She married James Edgar Hockett on April 11, 1953 at the age of 16. This union produced three daughters. After their divorce in 1969 she married James Hillis White on December 29, 1969 and gained two step sons. She lived in Creek County, Oklahoma most of her life until near the end while suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. She was a stay at home mom and enjoyed being a Camp Fire group leader with her daughters and an assistant with her granddaughter in Camp Fire, as well as being active in her church Forest Hills Baptist Church. She later attended Canyon Road Baptist Church with her daughter. She was a volunteer with the Sapulpa RSVP and helped deliver meals.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two brothers Chester and Willfred, and two sisters Anna Mae Canfield Pinson Widdoes Simpson and Luella Canfield Brewer and stepson Omar Wesley White. She is survived by three daughters Joyce Hockett Hoffman (Ron), Pamela Hockett Crossno Edmunson and Terri Hockett Green (Mike), and step son James Robert White Sr. (Cristella) She loved spoiling her grandchildren Nathaniel Crossno, Matthew Crossno (Elizabeth), Candice Crossno Judkins (Stephen), Hillary Green Olomi (Kayvon) and Shannon Green Henry (Kevin), five step grandchildren, James White, Jr, Richard White, James Wesley Ables and Wyvonna Ables; 8 great-grandchildren with 1 great grandson due January and 1 great granddaughter due March. She had 12 step grandchildren as well. Also surviving is one sister and one brother.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK. Memorial service will be January 5, 2019 at 11 am at Canyon Road Baptist Church, 8550 S 49th West Ave, Tulsa, OK 74131. Donations may be made to either the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org) or the Baptist Lottie Moon Christmas offering. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
