Paula Faye Carter Slaton, 73, of Sapulpa joined the Angels in heaven on Monday January 25, 2021. Paula was born on November 18, 1947 to Earl Eugene Carter and Vernal Oleta Green in Oakdale, California.
She married her high school sweetheart, Paul Slaton, on July 3, 1965 and was a graduate of Sapulpa High School class of 1966. After graduation she spent her early married life raising her family and moving around the U.S. with Paul who was in the Navy.
Family was her highest priority in life. They always came before her own needs and wishes. She always enjoyed the many vacations with the family.
She was a loving mother to her children and after raising them, she spent time working at Linear Films, Special Olympics and as a Medical Secretary.
She was Preceded in Death by her Parents and step-father Elburn Blackman.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Paul Slaton of the home.
Children: Shelley Mantooth and husband David of Lindsay, Oklahoma. Jeff Slaton and wife Rona of Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Grandchildren: Lauren Osborne and her husband Travis, Jacob Mantooth, Ridge Slaton, Paige Mantooth
Great Grandchildren: Trigg and Tennison Osborne and a host of other relatives and friends.
Service will be Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Sapulpa First Church of God (1011 E. Hastain Ave.), burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa. The services will be streamed on YouTube, Sapulpa First Church of God, for those who are unable to attend in person.
