Patsy Ruth Leatherwood was born March 10, 1946 to George and Elizabeth Anderson in Bristow, Oklahoma. She departed this life September 2, 2020 at the age of 74 years, 5 months and 23 days.
She attended elementary school in Bristow before her family moved to Gober, Texas where she graduated High School. On April 17, 1968 Patsy Ruth Anderson and Billy Glen Leatherwood Sr. were united in marriage. In 1973 the couple moved to Bristow, Oklahoma where they would raise their family. From this union were born three children, Lisa, Billy and Scott.
She retired from the Bristow public schools after twenty-six years as “the lunch lady”. She enjoyed cooking, cake decorating and painting. Her true enjoyment and meaning of life came when she was able to spend time with her family.
She is survived by three children, Lisa Botkins and husband Robert of Bristow, Oklahoma, Billy Leatherwood Jr. and Scott Leatherwood both of Bristow, Oklahoma; one brother, Pete Anderson of Harrah, Oklahoma; one sister, Bonita Biswell of Norman, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Deloris Carter.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00pm, Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Trinity Baptist Church with Jason Tyler officiating and burial to follow at the Old 44 Cemetery.
