Olive Leah Burke, 83, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2022, while at her home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Olive was born February 18, 1939, in Gypsy Oklahoma to Lloyd and Imogene Lewis. She was a Captain in the US Air Force and was a Retired Registered Nurse.
Olive married Sam Burke on October 17, 1965 and was married to Sam until his death in 2019.
She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church in Kellyville, Ok.
Olive was the Wisdom Keeper of the Burke and Lewis family. She is the person that kept in touch with every family member and loved knowing what was going on in each of their lives.
She was preceded in death by husband, Sam Burke; her mother and father; Her brothers Jesse G Lewis and Elmer Ellsworth Lewis and her sister Imoloyd Lewis and her stepdaughter Nancy Lemmon.
She was survived by her brother, Jerry Rayford Lewis; Her nephews Bill Lewis, Jesse Lewis, Bennett Lewis and Paul Lewis; her niece Susan Hood and many great nieces and nephews.
She was survived by her stepdaughter Christine Lemmon and her stepsons Barry Burke, Greg Burke and Samuel Burke and many grandsons and granddaughters.
Services will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at 2pm at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be Monday, August 8, 2022, from 6pm – 8pm at Smith Funeral Home.
Olive will be laid to rest beside her Husband, Samuel Burke, in Bristow Oklahoma. There will be a Military Ceremony graveside following the services at Smith Funeral Home.
