Minervia Huff

Minervia Lou (Ames) Huff 83, of Sapulpa, passed from this life Thursday, August 4, 2022.  She was born February 18, 1939, in Jay, Oklahoma to Charlie and Mary Ames.
Minervia married Roy Huff and they were blessed with four children Brenda, Billy, Tommy and Hope.  She was homemaker and took great pride in raising her family.  She bought a rundown shack and turned it into a lovely home with mostly her own two hands.
Minervia was a master seamstress and would take scraps of fabric or discarded clothing and turn them into runway worthy clothing. She was known to take other people’s trash and turn it into treasures as a hobby.  She also had a love for all things living, including her mama hen with a broken leg and on a Saturday night she could be found at Hickory House listening to blue grass music. It is known that there wasn’t a person that she met that didn’t just love her and she took care of all her grandchildren like they were her own.  She was an amazing woman and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by parents Charley and Mary Ames; husband Roy Huff; her forever sleeping baby Carrie Lou Huff, grandsons Michael L. Huff and Lonnie J. Beard Jr; brother Bill Ames and her companion and best friend Gary Moss.
She is survived by her children Brenda Beard of Sapulpa, Billy Huff of Sapulpa, Tommy Huff and wife Clara of Sapulpa, Hope Murray from Sapulpa; son-in-law Roger Murray of Sapulpa, sisters Pauline Johnson and Gladys Husong and brother Johnny Ames; grandchildren Joanna Combs and husband Jay of Bay City, Texas, Evelyn Williams and husband Thomas of Glenpool, Amanda McCoy and husband Scott of Sapulpa, Thomas Huff of Sapulpa, Ashley Briggs and husband Anthony of Sapulpa and Lisa Murray and fiancé Markus Bentz of Broken Arrow and many great-grandchildren, other family members and friends.
