Mildred Brown

Mildred Brown, 87, stepped into Heaven on December 19, 2021, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her family.
Mildred was born January 16, 1934, in Tulsa to Rosa Bell New-Kelly and Millard New. She went to school at Central High of Tulsa, OK. She was employed by Lowrance Electronics as an assembler and retired after 20 years.
Mildred enjoyed in her spare time, sewing, embroidery, road tips with grandkids and spending time with her family and friends.

She had a caring and compassionate heart and was always wanting to help people. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Mildred is preceded by her parents, Rosa Bell and Millard. Her siblings, Betty O’Neal, Clarence Lee New, Ruthie Alford. Her son Ricky Brown, and stepson Donald Wynn, and a great grandson Logan Mitchell Noah.

She is survived by her children: Herbert Brown of Mounds, Barbara Phillips of Sapulpa, Robert and wife Tammy Brown of Mounds, Jerry Brown of Bristow, Sherry Johnson of Bristow, Jackie and husband Dan Welschmeyer of Greeley, Co, and Karen and husband Loyd Steve Davis of Mounds. Her four stepchildren, Bill and wife Karen Brown of California, Judy Ingram of Oregon, John Brown of Utah; 19 grandchildren, 43 great grandkids and 5 bonus great grandkids, 4 great great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Garden Heights Freewill Baptist Church in Sand Springs, OK. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. There will be a family visitation on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home.
