Micah was a good writer and if she were here right now, she would be so much better at this! But we will do our best. Micah was born in Sapulpa and also lived in Kansas City for a few years. She eventually moved back to Sapulpa permanently to be near her family. Micah has always been head-strong. When she was about 4 years old, she was at the zoo. She was tired & wanted to be carried. Her mom was tired too and wasn’t going to carry her through the zoo. Micah was having a fit!! They walked away – thinking she would eventually follow them. But she didn’t. They had to go back and get her. Her mom had to carry her!! She didn’t grow out of it. As she was older, if you told her she couldn’t do something, she was determined to find a way to do it. She loved to play games: cards, Candy Crush on her phone _Candy Crush was a bit of an obsession and she was very good at it. When they were younger, she would play Spades with her sister Shawn. The winner would get peanut butter & jelly crackers. The competition was serious!! Micah loved her family. She talked to her mom every day. She helped cook for the family get togethers. Thanksgiving and Christmas were special holidays for the whole family. She was a great cook! More than anything, she loved her son Chance. You could always see the pride in her face when she talked about him. Chance love spending time with his mom, going shopping and car rides to school in the morning. There was a very special bond between Mother and son. She loved her Uncle Marshall, although she would NEVER admit it. She “flipped him off with love”. She was a music lover too. She especially loved soulful performers. Probably because she connected with them at that level. She had a beautiful soul that was evident to everyone who knew her. Her brother Monty used to play in a band and she loved to watch his band play. She would always take her niece, Summer, to the fair every year. They also spent every Easter dyeing Easter Eggs. Micah would draw Woodstock & Snoopy pictures for her. Even though they lived far apart, Micah always made a point to keep in touch with her. Shannon, Summer & Micah enjoyed playing video games together. Micah had moved in with her mom to help take care of her. She always put everyone’s needs ahead of her own. She had an amazing ability to forgive and forget. She was very tenderhearted. Everyone would always get a good laugh because EVERYTHING made her cry. Micah, we are going to miss you so much, you’re sense of humor, your great cooking, the flipping of the finger!!! Great conversations! There will be a big hole in our family, but we know you will always be with us.
