Marilyn Teegarden

A well known figure in Sapulpa, Marilyn June Moses Teegarden passed away peacefully the 12th day of September, 2020 at a happy age of 81 years.  Marilyn was born April 28, 1939 to Edward Hoffman Moses and Altha Mae Hixson Moses at their home on South Poplar Street in Sapulpa.  Marilyn was preceded by her parents and her brother Ted Laverne Moses.  She was the last of the immediate Moses family members.
Marilyn was known for her business skills as for years she owned and operated the Glamour Lane Beauty Salon and the Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio.   She later founded and designed the Teegarden Hallmark in Sapulpa while continuing her studies and career as an artist and instructor in fine arts.  Marilyn was known nation wide for her ability in various forms and was one of only two instructors in the country certified in Russian Art.  With Marilyn’s passing, the Art World suffered a great loss of talent and creative ability.
Marilyn is succeeded by David Teegarden, her husband of 49 years, one son Bret and wife Karen (Beth) and their family all from  the Brentwood Tennessee area.
Marilyn enjoyed her friends all around the country and in Sapulpa!  Needless to say, she was loved and appreciated by all.  Marilyn fought a tough five year fight against Dementia but never gave up.  She was happy to know Christ Jesus as her Savior and has now started the second phase of her existence with a brand new life eternal.
