Louis “Jay” Crabaugh was born March 24, 1966 in Tulsa Oklahoma and passed into his Heavenly home on July 2, 2021 as result of complications of a stroke and kidney failure. Jay was preceded in death by his sister Paula Crabaugh. He leaves behind to wait for “that Great Resurrection Day at the Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” his daughter Christal Crabaugh and Morteza Rezaee Babak and two granddaughters, Jenavecia and Elinor, all of Portland, OR; father Gene Crabaugh and stepmother Karen Crabaugh of Sapulpa, OK; mother Phyllis Harrison of San Jose, CA; sister Rhonda Young and husband Shawn of Sapulpa, OK; sister LaNell Lucas of Cincinnati, OH. Jay grew up in Sapulpa and attended Allen Bowden School, Southwest Baptist Academy and graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1984. During a 4 ½ year tour serving in the United States Army, Jay was awarded the “Army Achievement Medal” during his service in Korea. His assistance was critical in breaking up a narcotics distribution and black-market ring that led to the apprehension of several suspects. After Jay’s discharge from the Army, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Funeral Science at the University of Central Oklahoma in 1996. His career in the funeral industry began with Owen Funeral Home in Sapulpa and then he worked at several funeral homes in Tulsa before moving to Pheonix, AZ. Jay returned to Oklahoma in 2001 and began working at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa, where he was employed as a Funeral Director until 2011. Jay moved to various parts of the country, pursing his career and while in Salsbury, NC he experienced his first stroke. Jay is remembered by his parents as their loving son and their HERO when, without hesitation, willingly donated one of his kidneys to his older sister Paula in 1991, which extended her life for many years. Jay will be greatly missed by both family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Green Hill Funeral Home with interment in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, July 9th from 6-8 pm at Green Hill. Services are in the care of Green Hill Funeral Home
