Loren (Budden) Jay Evans, 64, transitioned peacefully to animal caretaker in heaven on Friday, August 30, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on September 4, 1954 in Glenpool, Oklahoma. Loren was a long-time resident of Glenpool and spent the last 15 years in Sapulpa, Oklahoma with his wife, BJ Evans, of 36 years. Loren worked at Sears and Walmart in Sapulpa and enjoyed working with the public and his dear friends.
Loren had many interests including reading, gardening, watching OU football, feeding and naming all his birds, writing western books, art, and walking his dog two miles a day where it was really a chance to visit with all the neighbors. Many people in Sapulpa would recognize his red SUV driving down their street with his dog hanging out the window. He dearly loved his wonderful neighbors and the hair stylists that BJ worked with over the years.
Loren graduated from Glenpool High School and was a proud member of the Creek Nation tribe. He is a faithful servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. He adored all of his family and friends and enjoyed getting to have long talks with all of them. He was blessed to speak to them at the end of his life. He will be missed by all.
Loren was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Evans; father, Willis (Chief) Edward Evans; brother and sister-in-law, Connie and Shirley Evans; brother, Wally Evans; sister and brother-in-law, Jewel and Sol Kelley; sister and nephew, Patricia and Harrold Clark; and beloved dog, Oscar (Pee Wee) pictured with Loren.
