Leola Lowery

Leola Louise (Harris) Lowery was born February 1st 1938 in Sapulpa Oklahoma to Delmar and Elsie Harris. Leola grew up in Sapulpa. She once told us of a baby contest she won. She won a gold ring for being so beautiful. She was definitely beautiful inside and out. She was proceeded in death by her husband Donald Lowery; her mother Elsie (McCall) Harris; her father Delmar Harris; her sisters Barbra Campbell, Janice Lunsford, and Eva Montz; her brother Bill Harris; her daughters Deborah Louise Lowery Gill and Donna Sue Lowery. She is survived her son Randy Jo Harris of Bristow; two Daughter Cindy Mize of Wagoner and Sandra Wood of Glenpool; three granddaughters Jamie Needham –Hatley and husband Jeremy of Beggs, Ricki Gill-Ramsey and husband Adam of Glenpool, Faith Wood of Jenks; four great-grandchildren Dageon, Eli, and Journey Ramsey of Glenpool and Jasmine LeeAnn Hatley of Beggs; brother Dick Harris of Gypsy and a host of friends and family. Leola married Donald Lowery on February 14th 1960. She was the matriarch of her family. She loved taking care of her family and making sure we all stayed in line. She loved to travel to places far and wide and take lots of pictures. She was an amazing gardener and had an incredible green thumb. She grew some of the most amazing flowers and gardens. She also loved to cook. Fried chicken, meatloaf, salmon patties were among her favorite things to cook. She loved to go church and singing old time gospel songs. She went to be with the Lord on May 22nd 2020. We know she is up there now singing, and praising the Lord, and smiling down on us. Private Family Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 3:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel – Sapulpa 400 E. Teel Road, Sapulpa Visitation will be held on Monday, May 25 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home 400 East Teel Road, Sapulpa Leola’s Final Resting Place is in Green Hill Memorial Gardens
