Lawrence A Boydston was born in Mounds, OK on May 3, 1931 to Christle
and Ola Boydston. He passed from this world on Friday, July 8, and was
escorted by loved ones into Heaven. He was 91. He served his country in
the Navy. He served aboard the USS BONN HOMME RICHARD (
affectionately called The Bonnie Dick). After the Navy he worked several
jobs, McDonald Douglas, Owned a gas station, worked at Liberty Glass
(they called him Hollywood because he always wore dark sunglasses). He
retired from working after 24 years as a Over the road truck driver. He had
a good, long life that involved fishing every chance he got. He even carried
fishing equipment with him on the road. He is loved and will be deeply
missed
.
Lawrence is preceded in death by parents Christle and Ola, his wife of 50
years Lona Jean, their two children Lawrence JR and Donna, his brother
John and his wife Bobbie, Brother in-laws LaVerne and Carl. :
Lawrence is survived by his children Robert & wife Diane, Stepson Jerry &
wife Patricia, Stepdaughter Claudia & husband Russ, Son Don & wife
Debbie, daughters Christle & husband Gary, Robin & husband Larry and
Barbara & husband Bill. Sisters Jo Linnet and Carol Ervin. 20
Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter
and Zoey, his little dog he loved.
There will be a Celebration of Life in his honor and memory at the home of
Don and Debbie Boydston on Saturday, July 16 th at 2pm. 10573 W 181 st St
S, Sapulpa OK. Come share stories & memories and have a meal. Bring
a side dish and a chair. We are looking forward to hear your stories. In
lieu of flowers we ask that you please donate to DAV, Wounded Warriors,
VFW, American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s in his memory.
