Ladonna Jean Swepston, 70, of Sapulpa went to be with the Lord on February 18th, 2022. She was born on October 17th, 1951, to Raymond and Lowena Brooks. Ladonna graduated high school from Webbers Falls High School. She married then Lieutenant Jerry Swepston on December 30th, 1978 and accompanied with him all over the world for the next 20 years. In 1996, they settled in Sapulpa, OK to open the Marine Corps JROTC at Sapulpa High School.
Ladonna worked in the health care field wherever Jerry was stationed from Washington D.C. to Okinawa, Japan. She blessed people wherever they were stationed with her amazing, God given talent of singing, playing the bass guitar, and writing Gospel music. She ministered in music in churches all over the world. They have two beautiful daughters, DaLonna and Robbin, who provide the most prized possession of 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Brooks. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Swepston. Her mother, Lowena Brooks. Her children, DaLonna Hanlin, Robbin and Corky Hager. Her grandchildren, Alexa and Rusty Cox, Aleah Rosser, Kaybree Hager, Alex Hanlin, and Breckin Hager. Her great-grandchildren, Jonathan (John Wayne) Cox and Brooklyn (Bubbles) Cox. Her brothers, Jimmy Brooks and Charles Brooks. And a host of other relatives and friends.
