Kristie Kay Harjo was born into this world on August 31st, 1968 to parents Billy Joe and Donna Kay Harjo in Wetumka, Oklahoma. She was called back to heaven to walk with the Lord on November 5th, 2018 at her home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
Kristie attended Lone Star School for her elementary education and went on to graduate from Sapulpa High School in 1986. She began her adult life working with Wal-Mart and then soon after was hired on with TTCU and had just celebrated 20 years of service with the credit union and its members.
Kristie loved sports and was a huge OU Sooners football fan. She attended several of the games with her father. Good or bad play, her fandom never wavered, and she looked forward to Saturday kick off’s. She was a big fan of the Sapulpa High School baseball team and had been looking forward to attending the games and watching them win it all this year. Kristie loved to travel around and put thousands of highway miles on all the different trucks she owned in her life. She enjoyed camping with her family, getting out on the pontoon boat for a ride or standing on the bank and casting out to catch the biggest fish of the day, but her biggest love was her family and friends. If she was ever needed, she would always be there for anyone and because of this has left memories inside many different hearts of everyone she ever touched.
Kristie is survived by her parents Bill and Donna Harjo, brother Brian Harjo and wife Tina, her nephew William Harjo that she loved with all her heart, Aunt Patsy and Uncle Tommy Hodge and family, Uncle Buford Harjo and Aunt Barbara and family, Aunt Jackie Buckley and family, Aunt Alice and Uncle Sam Marshall and family, Uncle Larry Harjo and family, Uncle Nelson Harjo and Aunt Georgia and family and numerous other cousins and friends. Last but not least her extended family of Carl and Lynn Henderson along with her favorite 3 B’s, Brady Henderson and wife Sarah, Blake Henderson and Bennett Henderson. She considered them all to be part of her family and loved them all as such.
If there ever comes a day where we can’t be together
Keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever
