Juanemah Chesnut

Juanemah was born July 10, 1927 to Cassell H. and Vada (Henderson) Weaver in Bristow, Oklahoma.  She passed from this life August 14, 2020 at the age of 93.

She grew up in Bristow and graduated from Bristow High School.  She married Donald L. Chesnut on January 21, 1946 in Bristow.  They lived in Louisiana, Texas and Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on January 31, 1991.

She attended Bristow First Church of God and Oak Street Church of God, when her health permitted.  In her earlier years she was actively involved in the churches she attended.  She was mission minded and helped people when she was able.  She loved to visit and tell stories as well she enjoyed writing stories.  She also loved to read and study her bible.

She moved back home to Bristow in 1997 to be near her family and resided here until her death.

She is survived by one son, Larry Chesnut and wife Carol of Spring, Texas; two daughters, Karen Mixon and husband Steve (Corky) of Marlow, Oklahoma and Kathy Crutcher and husband Rick of Marlow, Oklahoma; one brother, Bob Weaver and wife Rosetta of Kellyville, Oklahoma; one sister, Venice Kincannon of Bristow; two aunts, Alta Morton and Wanda McDaniel both of Bristow; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Irma McEwen and one brother, Bill Weaver.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM, Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
