John Clinton

John Stanley Clinton, 77, of Sapulpa passed from this life on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home, Sapulpa, OK. He was born on February 11, 1942 in Tahlequah, OK to Troy and Pauline (Wolfe) Clinton. He was a laborer in the manufacturing industry by trade.
John resided at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home in Sapulpa for 23 years. He is an avid Oklahoma University Football fan and Cowboy Enthusiast. He loved to watch Westerns especially the American TV Series, “Laramie”; he enjoyed watching John Wayne. John also liked to hunt and fish and was proud of his Cherokee Heritage.
John is survived by nephew, Christopher Clinton of Sand Springs; cousin, Tom Clinton and wife, Colleen of Sapulpa and their children, Leslie Buckley and husband, Chris of Raynham, MA and family; Daniel Clinton and wife, Gillian of Dallas, TX and family; and Derek Clinton of Sapulpa.
John is preceded in death by parents, Troy and Pauline Clinton; and two brothers, Phillip and Lucien Clinton.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, October 21, 2019 at Smith Funeral Chapel, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK. Interment at 2 pm to follow at Downing Cemetery, Stilwell, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
