John Box 68, of Pawnee passed from this life and went to be with the Lord on February 24th, 2022.
John was born on April 26, 1953 in Bakersfield, CA to James (Jim) C. Box and Geraldine (Wilhite) Box. He attended school in Broken Arrow and completed the 8th grade. He was a retired welder after many years in his craft.
John met and married Neva Sue Bryan on Oct 18, 1972, in Mississippi. They celebrated 14 years of marriage with the two boys, Jarnes and Cory. He met Vickie Kirkley in 1990 and had Amber Janae Box.
He enjoyed team roping and going on trail rides with family and fishing. He had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to give a helping hand. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
John is preceded in death by his parents, James (Jim) Box and Geraldine Wilhite Box; brother Bob Potts; granddaughter, Amber Renae Box; great niece, Shelby Nicole Shelton.
He is survived by his sons, James and his wife, Lisa Box and Cory Box and significant other, Lora Seaton; daughter, Amber and her husband Nathan Hicks; sister, Sharon and husband Howard Pugh; grandchildren Dane Boysel, Loren Box and fiancé Parker Adams, Rebecca Lynn Box, Corey Box, Ethan Box, James Box Nolan Hicks; great grandchildren, Kelly Lynn Miller, Neva Rose Box, Olivia Jeanette Adams and baby Miller; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
Services will be Friday, March 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Olive First Baptist Church at 9372 S 433rd West Ave, Drumright, OK 74030.
