Joe Carroll Hubble, 71, of Sapulpa passed from this life on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home.
He was born on September 4, 1949, in Stephenville, TX to JC and Dorthea Mae (Bumbard) Hubble.
He graduated from Norman High School. His first job was at Safeway. After a short time, he became Produce Manager. Joe worked at Jerry’s IGA, before moving to Sapulpa to live close to his future wife Tammy. They met in Norman, while Tammy was attending Hillsdale Free Will Baptist Church. He worked as a produce manager at Ballard’s IGA in Prattville, Oklahoma from 2005 to 2017. After he became ill, he worked for the Sapulpa Herald. Joe lived with Tammy’s nephew Jeff, until they were married. Joe married the love of his life, Tammy Berg. They celebrated 39 years of marriage on March 27, 2021.
He enjoyed playing golf and fishing. Joe would have liked to hunt but Tammy said he could not bring anything home unless he brought it for a pet. She even bought him a shotgun one Christmas, but he was not allowed to shoot to kill. He had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Since Joe and Tammy could not have kids, he enjoyed Tammy’s niece and nephew. He spoiled them like grandkids, loved having them on weekends and taking them to church. After they grew up “their” pets became their kids.
He had a friend, Kenneth Holley, who he met at school in Norman. They became best buds like “brothers” and was the best man in his wedding.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Tammy and brother-in-law, Tommy Berg
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Jerold Berg and one infant sister.
He was loved and will greatly be missed by all his family and friends.
