Joe Crawford was born in Bristow, Oklahoma on August 10, 1960 to Robert and Vera Lee (Harrison) Crawford. The Lord called Joe home July 20, 2019 at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 10 days.
Joe aka “Bucket” as everyone loved to call him, was a fun loving hardworking young man. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for you; always willing to help in some way or another. He had a heart as big as the world. Joe loved the Lord and although he wasn’t a member, went to church at times at New Life International Worship and had a relationship with God. Joe loved to fish, dance, sing and he always had a smile for you. He loved to cook and he was always checking to see if everyone was alright. He and his friend Kevin Hart were seen mowing grass all the time. Joe touched many people’s hearts and he will certainly be missed.
Joe was preceded in death by his father, Robert Crawford Sr.; mother, Vera Lee (Harrison) Crawford, one son, Joey Crawford, one brother, Robert Crawford Jr; three sisters, Lorene Crawford, Louisa Hart, and Mary Lee Walker. He leaves to mourn his passing one sister, Classie Crawford; two brothers, his twin Joseph Crawford and Bob Crawford; one aunt, Viola Harrison aka “Aunt Midget”; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on July 26th and 9:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 27th at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Chapel.
