Jerry Little

Jerry Jay Little, 76, passed from this life on February 13, 2022 at Hillcrest South Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Jerry was born January 11, 1946 in Sapulpa, OK to William Joseph and Grace Hazel Little. Jerry enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17 where he proudly served as a boatman for the USS Arizona Memorial in Hawaii before his deployment to Vietnam aboard the USS Rowan as an Engineman. After serving his country, Jerry worked with the Frisco Railroad at the Tulsa Cherokee Yard as a signal maintainer for 33 years. He was a remarkable mechanic, had a broad range of craftsmanship skills, and loved to piddle around the garage with his cars and tools. In 1981, Jerry met and later married his soul mate, Linda Knott, and they often went camping at Lake Hudson to fish. After his retirement from the railroad, he enjoyed bass fishing, woodworking, cooking, gardening, raising his chickens, and living quietly in the country. Jerry was a sometimes opinionated, compassionate man who loved his God, his family, and his country, with all his heart.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, WJ and Grace Little, and his wife Linda Louise Little.

Jerry is survived by his children, Leslie Anne Little of Sapulpa; Milissa Ann Barrett (Knott) of Branson, MO; Shawn Paul and Heather Little of Cleveland, Ok; his brothers B. J. Little of Sapulpa, Anthony J.R. and Cherry Little of Sapulpa, Dennis Cleve and Rhonda Little of Sapulpa; his sister Jolinda Little of Sapulpa; his grandchildren Steve Dewain Nigh Jr, Jennifer Rose Nigh, Jacob Wayne Little, Aaron Michael Short, and Hunter Stephen Little; his great granddaughter Nova Rae Nigh, and a host of other relatives and friends.
