Jennifer Lake

Jennifer Lake, 60, of Sapulpa, OK, stepped into heaven on April 1, 2022 surrounded by friends and family.  

Jennifer was born January 22, 1962 in Greeley, Colorado to Judy and Leroy James. She graduated from Sapulpa High School and received her Bachelor’s degree in Education from NortheasternState University in Tahlequah, OK. She worked 27 years in education as a teacher.  

Jennifer served for several years in ministry including the Church on the Move Bus Ministry, the J-Team Ministry, and Kids 4 Christ.

Jennifer’s students were like her own children in how much she cared about their success in school and life. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

Jennifer enjoyed gardening and spending time outside. She also enjoyed watching her great nephew play sports.

She is survived by her loving husband Gary, Children: Mindy Lake, Lisa Fehner (Peter Fehner), Theresa Barrett (Jessie Barrett), and Jennifer B. Lake, Niece: Morgan Barnett (Brian Barnett), Great nephew: Reece Barnett, Mother: Judy James, Grandfather: Dale H. Eden, Sister: Joyce Myers (Kevin Myers), and a host of other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Kendred Leroy James, grandmother Truley Mae James, grandfather Kendred James, and grandmother Mary Elizabeth Eden.

Services will be on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at 10 AM at the First United Methodist Church, 1401 E. Taft Ave., Sapulpa, OK.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 6PM to 8PM at Traditions Funeral and Cremation Services, 35 S. Main,Kellyville, OK
