Jack went to his Heavenly Home Friday night, June 18, 2021, from his home in Kellyville. He was 69 years old. He was born September 8, 1951, to John Robert & Leah Angie (Arnold) Minton, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was one of 12 children. He grew up in Tulsa and attended Central High School. He served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard for 6 years. Jack married Atonda Griggs on August 28, 1990, in Terlton, Oklahoma. He brought 4 children into her family of 5 children. Those 9 children were blessed to include a former stepson and a nephew, bringing the number of “his kids” to 11. From those 11 children, Jack and Atonda were also blessed with 45 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He played an active role in their lives and became known as “Pepaw” to ball teams, neighbor kids and cub scout troops in and around Kellyville. Jack loved horses, race cars and “old stuff”. He also loved people and helping people. He would never leave a person broke down on the side of the road. Besides his parents, Jack was preceded in death by twin, unnamed sons, born too soon and by 3 grandchildren; Jeremy Taylor, Chelsea Marie Minton, and Jada Mea Owens. He was also preceded in death by 1 sister; Florence Scroggins, 8 brothers; Donald Ray, Mike, Bobby, Kenneth, Ronnie, Richard, Terry, and Jimmy. Jack is survived by his wife, Atonda and 10 children; Billy Edwards (wife Annette) of Jennings, Brian Young (wife Angie) of Kellyville, Daniel Galbrath (wife Veronica) of Texas, Wendi Reed of Oilton, Stacy Formanski (husband Ian) of Tecumseh, Kathy Smith (husband Joe) of Sapulpa, Brian Minton (wife Christi) of North Dakota, Carl Reed (wife Leslie) of Kellyville, Jeramie Starks of Sperry, Amanda Owens (husband Ashley) of Kellyville, and a nephew that lived with the family for many years; Bryan Jones (wife Lacie) of Sapulpa, 45 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
