Henry Keeton

KEETON – Henry Bryan, moved from this world to the next on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Athens TN, he attended McMinn County High School and was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian; parents, Riley and Etta (Dailey) Keeton; and brother, Roy. He was a member of the Greatest Generation.
He leaves behind a daughter, Patricia (Don) Lutz of Tulsa; son, James (Janet) Keeton of Nashville; grandchildren, Bryan, Charlotte, James and Jana; great-grandchildren, Alex, Danielle, Lauren, Cole, Sarah, Noah, Ethan, Isabella, Rose and Joseph; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He served in Puerto Rico as a corporal in the Army in the closing days of World War II. Returning to civilian life, he met and married Lillian Mahan in 1946. They were married for 61 years until her death in 2007. He was retired from the US Postal Service and was a past employee of the, City of Tulsa and Scott Rice.
He enjoyed history, genealogy and family time. He was active with the Country Oaks Seniors in Tulsa and a member of Wesleyan Bible Church.
Family visitation will be held from 3-5 pm on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the Wesleyan Bible Church, 6600 South 33rd West Avenue, Tulsa. Pastor Michael Yancey officiating. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta, OK. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK.
