Glenn Logan Zumalt, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed away on May 23, 2019 at the age of 83 at St. Johns in Sapulpa.
Glenn was born on April 25, 1936 in Kellyville, Oklahoma to L.A. “Bud” Zumalt and Mabel Zumalt. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1954. On September 3, 1959, he married Mozelle Peet. Throughout his 35-year-long career, Glenn worked at Skelly, Texaco, and Getty. Glenn was a devout Christian and served as an elder at the Church of Christ for 23 years, in addition to teaching classes and serving as the church secretary and treasurer. He was also a devoted Oklahoma Sooners fan, and friends from church celebrated the OU-Texas game each year by decorating his yard with Texas memorabilia.
Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Tom Zumalt, and grandson, Matthew Blake Bright. He is survived by his wife, Mozelle, daughter Cindy Bright (Tom) of Aberdeen, South Dakota and son Brian Zumalt (Kim) of Yukon, Oklahoma, granddaughter Kristen Bright of Aberdeen, South Dakota, sister-in-law Judy Zumalt, niece Dayna Morton (Randy), and great-niece Allie Morton.
A visitation will be held Monday, May 27th, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, and services will take place at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 28, at Lee and Walnut Church of Christ. The services will be officiated by Bob Patterson. Interment will take place at the Green Hills Cemetary in Sapulpa, OK.
