Georgia Palmore

Georgia Estaline Palmore was born February 22, 1928.  She departed this life July 24, 2021 to be with her Lord and Savior.  She was a member of the Church of Christ Church for many years.  Her parents were Tom and Ena (Armes) Holman.

She was born and raised in Locust Grove, Oklahoma.  She was united in marriage to Phillip Binam on December 24, 1944.  To this union was born a daughter, Linda.  They also adopted a son Gary Binam.  The marriage dissolved and she married Richard Stevens.  The couple would then adopt a son, Ricky Stevens.  That marriage dissolved and once again she remarried.

Georgia had many occupations including, a beautician, a youth service worker for Creek County, Elite Security Company in Tulsa and even sold real estate for a while. Her last job was at Central Area Vo-Tech in Sapulpa where she taught security and private investigator classes.  She worked until she was 87 years old when her health began to fail.

Georgia loved her family and her greatest enjoyment in life was always willing to help those whom was down on their luck.  If she thought she could get one person back on their feet to a better life, that would be her greatest accomplishment.  She loved to read and educate herself on about everything.  She finished two years of college in the later years.  She was a very generous and loving person.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Vail and husband Teddy Yocham; adopted son, Ricky Stevens; three grandchildren, Kathy Jolley and husband Don, Max Vail and wife Lisa, Julie Taylor and husband Jay.  Eight great grandchildren, Taylor, Tanner, Logan, Gabe, Kenley, Ashlyn, Morgan and Garrett.  Three great great grandchildren, Ava, Gia and Abram Jolley.

At her request there will be no service.  With her it was all about living, not dying!  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Salvation Army or John 3:16 Mission.
