Frank Paullus

Frank Michael Paullus was born August 9, 1941 and passed from this life November 30, 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years.  Frank and Sharon Kay Watkins were married on November 26, 1969.  Survivors include a brother, James George Paullus and wife Joyce of Neosho, MO; Brother-in-law,  Lloyd Waters and wife Marline of Tulsa and several nieces and nephews and a host of wonderful friends.  He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Madgalena Paullus and his father, James Alexander Paullus and two Brother-in-laws Howell and Aubrey Watkins.

Frank graduated from Kellyville High School in 1959.  He was always active in sports and was great in baseball and basketball. At Bacone College he played basketball and baseball then Frank earned a basketball scholarship at Northeastern State University where he played for Ken Hayes. His talent in baseball, also landed him a spot on the college baseball team as a pitcher. NSU is where he earned his Bachelor’s and Masters degrees in education.  He started his teaching career by doing student teaching at Washington Elementary, then took his first job at Lone Star.  He taught and coached at various schools around Sapulpa, including Sapulpa Middle School, Broken Arrow, Glenpool, Kellyville and Mounds.  He was grade school principal at Kellyville and was middle school principal at Mounds before retiring in 1992.  Frank taught school all those years, except when he was drafted into the Army and served from 1966 to 1968 in Vietnam.

Frank always wanted to keep busy, so in the summer, when school was out, he mowed lawns, worked as a salesman at Sears and was a Real Estate Broker and Auctioneer.  He created the precept of combining the two professions together.

All of this was not enough.  He was also building up a cattle ranch and after retirement from teaching, he and Sharon kept busy on the ranch.  Frank loved all animals and always had a faithful dog by his side.

Frank loved the Lord and was a good Christian.  He was part of the Westside Free Will Baptist family.  He also enjoyed the Beams of Light Church.  He loved everyone and well be greatly missed.
