Dee was born January 2, 1941, in Tulsa Ok. She worked and lived several places throughout her lifetime but always considered Sapulpa home. She spent several years working at Sapulpa’s own Frankhoma Pottery.
She was a devout Christian and spent much of her life volunteering in the communities she lived in. She had such a heart for people and was always there to lend a hand or feed anyone who was needing to be fed. She loved cooking and no matter if she was cooking for two or for the entire family, we joked that she made enough to “feed an army”.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren, going to movies and traveling. She collected Christmas items all year long and started decorating in September, she loved Christmas for many reasons. She loved dogs and later in life one of her favorite things was just sitting and enjoying the company of her beloved dog Sassy.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents George Wendtland and Rena Johnson Smith, her daughter Delenee Henderson and her best friend Hazel.
Dee is survived by her five children Bill Honeycutt, Bw Honeycutt, Cheryl Christenson, Harold Henderson and Tina Culp, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
