Eunice Harger, 88, of Sapulpa, passed from this earth, October 4th, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Family and friends will gather for visitation, October 7th, 2022 between 4-8 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S. Main St., Sapulpa. A service celebrating Eunice’s life, her spunky spirit and her faith will be held at 11 a.m. October 8th at Tulsa Lighthouse Church, 1541 West 71st South. Burial will follow at Greenhill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Harger, Jeff Harger, Darrell Clark, Ronnie Young, Rev. Rick Hughes, and Howard Harger.
Eunice was born September 16, 1934, in Porum, Oklahoma to the late Charles H. and Eunice Jane Martin Murray. Eunice married her love, Haden Ernest Harger, May 29th, 1953. Eunice was an entrepreneur all of her life, able to support her family in many ways with her innovative spirit. Eunice’s first business the chicken farm west of Sapulpa. She sold furniture for JC Penney’s, Home Interior Décor, cookware for Homemaker’s Guild, hearing aids for Miracle Ear, sewing machines for Singer. Her sales with Singer were so stellar that she won a cruise to the Bahamas. In 1980, Eunice and Haden, along with Darrell and Carol Harger started, Harco Fabricators, Inc. Harco served Oklahoma and surrounding states for over 18 years until they retired in 1998. Eunice continued her entrepreneurial ventures and achieved her real estate license and had numerous rental properties in the Tulsa and Sapulpa area. She was a longtime faithful member of Life Tabernacle Church in Tulsa. Eunice loved to travel, she and Haden traveled all over the United States in their motorhome. Eunice was fiercely loyal to her family and enjoyed cooking for them. In her later years, Eunice took great pleasure in going to local estate sales to find her next “treasure.” Along with her parents, C.H. and Eunice Murray, she was preceded in death by her step siblings, Leonard F. Smith, Charles E. Smith, Martin F. Smith and Mary Jane Smith; her sons, Haden Russell Harger and Michael Ray Harger; her loving husband of 54 years, Haden Ernest Harger; brother-in-law, Rev. Bob Archer; and sister-in-law, Carol Harger and numerous other family members.
Eunice leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Lesa Beth Wilkins and partner, Scott Brineaux; daughter-in-law, Ruth Cobb; son-in-law, Darrell Clark; 9 grandchildren, Russell Paul Harger (Carolyn), Andrea Brooke Arellanes (Greg), Hanna Payne (Bruce), Heidi Morales, Hyland Harger, Dylan Ray Michael Camp (Lydia), Stephanie Cobb Sliter, Clayton Cobb, Tiffany Denton; 14 great-grandchildren, Garret Harger (Skyler), Cami Harger, Emry Mills, Michael Payne, Mason Payne, Destiny Morales (Uriah Leach), Samantha Gibbs (James), Faith Kroll, Kaitlyn Sliter, Brendon Sliter, Braxton Sliter, Colton Cobb, Abigail Cobb, and Amelia Cobb; great-great-granddaughter, Misty Leach; in-laws, Dorothy Archer, Barbara and Fred Young, Annette and James Everette, Charles and Nancy Harger, Darrell Harger and Jeff and Jean Harger; nephews, Gordon McMahon and Perry Lee “Bud” Coley; niece, Lela Moore; nephews Mark Smith; Larry Smith, nephews, Ron Hutchcraft, Chris Hutchcraft, Aaron Hutchcraft, niece, Tammi Chase; cousin, Nola Mendenhall; along with a host of other loving family members and friends.
