Erma Leigh Reed, age 95, passed November 23rd, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Erma was born June 6th, 1925 in Spring Hill, Texas to Tilden and Nona Coley. She married Robert F. Reed on September 15th, 1945 who preceded her in death in 1988. Erma was also preceded in death by her son Pat Reed in 2017.
Erma loved to paint and arrange flowers and won several awards for her works at the Creek County Fair over the years.
Erma worked as an administrative professional at the US pentagon as well as local businesses in Sapulpa including many years at Liberty Glass. Erma was also a business partner with her husband Bob in their printing business in Sapulpa, Crown Prints.
Erma was a faithful member of the Sapulpa Church of the Nazarene for more than 50 years and was recognized for her 30+ years of teaching Sunday School at the church.
Erma loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with her family and was able to enjoy them until the end as they surrounded her bedside in her final days.
Erma is survived by her son Fred and his wife Pam Reed, Ron and his wife Kathie Reed, Linda and her husband Peter McMeakin and her son John and his wife Sandi Reed. Surviving grandchildren include C. Robert Reed, Stephanie Reed, Aaron Reed, Ryan Reed, Shana Holloway, Amy O’Neill, Mike Tousley, Ashley McMeakin, Andrew McMeakin, Elizabeth Williams, Mary Reed, Deric Davis and 23 great grandchildren.
