Dwayne Julius Slife was born June 3,1951 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Oscar Julius (Bus) Slife and Ella Mae (Carol) Slife (Hensley). He passed away February 11, 2021 at the age of 69. Dwayne was a lifelong resident of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He worked in the oil industry at his father’s company, Tank Maintenance & Coating Co. until his father’s death. In his younger years he was in two bands called The Living End and The Imaginary Existence where he shined as a guitarist alongside his brother, Denny on the drums. They played at many school functions and dances back in the day. Dwayne would say that he would live to be 100 years old but due to his lengthy health problems we knew that it wouldn’t be possible. He is survived by his brother Dale Slife, sister Debbie Nave and her husband David, as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Bus and Carol Slife and his brother Denny Slife. Dwayne enjoyed playing the guitar, Harley Davidsons, and television. There will be no funeral services but a celebration of life at a later date. Dwayne will be greatly missed.
