Dovie Jean (Fleming) Fabors, 88, of Van Buren, Arkansas, a wife, mother, & grandmother returned to her Heavenly home on September 21st, 2018. Her devotion to family & faith in God guided her through life & gave her peace.
Dovie was born in Sapulpa on July 28th, 1930, the daughter of Frank & Dovie B. Fleming. She was the youngest of 7 children; Dean, Paul, Aubrey, James, Bill Fleming & June (Fleming) Howard.
As a young woman, Dovie was an elevator operator in the Security National Bank building in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, but her long term passion was caring for her family.
Dovie married on October 23, 1964 and was blessed with two boys and two grandchildren. She enjoyed playing all forms of games, but her favorite was a board game called Wahoo. It was her favorite because it involved her entire family participating & being present. She was often found reading passages in her Bible and in her later years Dovie began coloring and found it calming.
She is survived by her first love Jimmie Fabors, her two sons DeWayne & Shawn Fabors, two grandchildren Victoria (Fabors) Cates & JD Fabors, her sister June Howard, and so many loving Fleming nieces, nephews & cousins.
Dovie Fleming was loved by all. She will be dearly missed but would want us all not to sorrow over her passing, but instead celebrate her life & her endless love for all.
