Dorothy Marie Garner, 87, of Sapulpa, passed from this life Monday, July 5, 2021.
She was born December 17, 1933, in Walters, Oklahoma to George and Maynola Lewman.
Dorothy married Leonard B. Garner on June 12, 1953. Dorothy and Leonard had two daughters; Inez and Tricia. They were married 37 years, until Leonard’s death in 1990. Dorothy worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. She became a homemaker, because she felt being a wife and a mother were the most important job. Dorothy loved to sew and grow beautiful flowers. She enjoyed being outdoors, doing yard work and exercising. She also enjoyed going camping with her family and taking trips.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters; Inez and her husband Paul, of Sapulpa; Tricia and her husband Scott of Bristow; grandchildren; Kaley and fiancé Matt, Jared and wife Abby, David and Daniel and wife Cheyenne; great grandchild, Jeb Haubert.
She also has two more great grandchildren due later this year.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Smith Funeral Home beginning at 10 am with Pastor Mike Peter officiating. Burial will follow in South Heights Cemetery.
