Donald E. Long, 64, of Sapulpa passed from this life on February 4, 2021.
Don was born on July 22, 1956 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Milford “Buddy” and Barbara Ann (Riederer) Long. He attended Sapulpa Public Schools. Don traveled extensively throughout the U.S. working in the oil and gas industry for 40 plus years.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing his guitar and spending time with family and friends.
Don had a heart of gold and was always willing to help others. He was loved and will be missed, so very much.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, Harry and Sylvia (Whittington) Long Martin and Carl and Elsie (Boyatt) Riederer; uncles, Sonny Long and Bob Riederer and aunts, Yaoma (Long) O’Malley and Dolores (Riederer) Brown.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Long; brother Robert Long; sister, Dawn Renee Long (Tony) Butler; and nephews Elisha, Micah, Seth, Josiah and Isaiah Butler.
Don also leaves behind his uncle and aunt Don and Nan Riederer and his Long, O’Malley and Riederer cousins.
A private family service will be conducted under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
