Dillon Dale Gibson, age 30, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 from injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident in Sapulpa Oklahoma on Tuesday, August 1st.
Dillon was born March 4th 1993 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jason and Shelley Gibson. He has two sisters, Madison and Baylee. He grew up in Sapulpa and attended Pretty Water Elementary School until his family moved to the Kellyville School district. He graduated from Kellyville High School in 2011. Dillon married the love of his life, Emily Jane Lawson, on October 15th, 2015 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. This is where they set up their family home.
Dillon was employed by Standard Distribution after high school then began employment with PECO Enterprise Inc. in December 2012. He started out as a helper and worked his way up to a fitter/inspector and a field general foreman until late August 2022, when he ventured out to start his own welding business, GFAB.
Dillon loved to work and stay busy. He was always working or fixing on something. He loved his motorcycle and loved spending any free time with his wife and children or with his friends. He loved music. He would always beat Emily at listening to new songs.
Audrey’s favorite memory of her and her dad was when she started learning how to ride a bicycle. She kept falling off and he would tell her to get back up and keep trying.
Little Freddie called his daddy Monkey Beast from the time he started talking. Dillon called Freddie Lizard King.
Dillon was a gentle man and had a big loving, caring heart. He would help anyone who needed help. Dillon is remembered by many people from his abundant facial hair {that he had by the time he was in 6th grade} and his big beautiful smile that brightened the day of everyone who saw it.
Dillon is survived by his wife, Emily & daughter, Audrey & son, Freddie, of the home; father, Jason Gibson of Sapulpa; mother, Shelley Gibson of Kellyville; grandfather, Harold Gibson of Sapulpa; sister, Madison Fisher & husband Brad Fisher & niece Brooke of Sapulpa; sister Baylee Gibson of Kellyville; aunt Darla Gibson & husband David of Kellyville; aunt, Leota Alattar of Sapulpa; and numerous cousins and friends.
Dillon is preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Bruton; grandmother, Glenda Bruton; grandmother, Shirley Gibson; uncle, Quinten Gibson;
