Deborah Gail was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on June 24, 1962, to Ramona and Glenn Stephens. She left this earth to go to her heavenly home on October 19, 2023 at the age of 61 years. She had suffered with a rare brain disease (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy – PSP) for the last 8 years.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Carnes and stepmother Donna Stephens. She is survived by her sons, Christopher Keeton of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Caleb-Ilianna Keeton, granddaughter Callie Marie of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, father, Glenn Stephens of Kiefer, Oklahoma, sister, Glenna-Mitch Cole of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, stepsisters, Kerry Weins and Tracy Benzi, nieces, Michelle Caldwell and Marissa Pritchard, nephews, Matthew Carnes, Mitchell and Michael Cole, several cousins, and many friends. She loved her family and friends with all of her heart.
Debbie was a Christian and was baptized at the First Assembly of God Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Her parents raised her in church where she enjoyed attending church camp every summer at Turner Falls. She had a strong faith and raised her children in church as well. Debbie attended Kiefer Schools and graduated in 1980 from Sapulpa High School.
While in school, Debbie was active in Cheerleading and Basketball where she always had the good ole number 44, her signature uniform number. Debbie and her sister Glenna were also first Majorettes for the Kiefer High School Band. She was active in the school choir and always enjoyed music and singing throughout her life. She loved her OU Sooners, watching her last game on October 7th when OU defeated those Texas Longhorns, Debbie was also passionate about any and all kinds of bees and was known as “Queen Bee.”
Her son, Caleb-Illiana Keeton blessed Debbie with a granddaughter, Callie Marie Keeton on October 3, 2023, 16 days before her passing. Debbie is missed and loved by all of her family and friends. She is now at peace and in Heaven reunited with her family and her Lord Jesus.
