David A. Barnett 88, of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2021 at Arbor Village Nursing Home.

David was born on April 1st, 1932 in Sapulpa to (father) Wiley Ben and (mother) Acee Barnett. He attended Lone Star School. He retired from Bartlett Collins Glass Company after 30 years of service.

David met and later married the love of his life Hettie Walker. They celebrated 32 years of marriage. He was a member of Cedar Ridge Christian Church.

He was involved with the Muscogee (Creek) Nation and Sapulpa Senior Citizen organizations. In his spare time, he enjoyed horseshoes, fishing, word search puzzles and family friends.

He had a kind and gentle heart, never spoke negatively about anyone and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was extremely proud of his Native American heritage. He will be loved and greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Hettie,

Step-children: Don Pipkin, David Pipkin and Shelia Rhea

Step-grandchildren: Kasey Pipkin, Kerri Pipkin Smith, LeeAnn Pipkin King, Shana Jones Gowdy, Miranda Walker and Heidi Rhea Boles

And a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, March 29, 2021 between the hours of 5-7 p.m.

Services will be Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home
