Darren Morgan

On April 22, 2022, Darren Scott Morgan left this earthly home to experience the truth when Jesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you.”

On September 26, 1965, a baby Sioux Indian BOY was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  When he was 2 1/2 months old Ralph and Sue Morgan received the call that said he was waiting for them in Oklahoma City.

His name became Darren Scott Morgan.  Darren grew up in Beggs, Oklahoma and was always proud to tell people where he was from. A town where he loved and was loved by the people and a loving church.  He graduated from Beggs High School in 1983 where he was an outstanding baseball pitcher.  He attended Northeastern University and later applied and was accepted to USC-Berkeley and Harvard School of Business where he took online classes.  Although he could keep you entertained with work experiences, he often said he should have stayed in banking. He began his banking career at American National Bank in Sapulpa which is now American Heritage Bank.

In 1987 he married Melody Harper and to them was born Kristi Lin, Mandi Rae and Jesse Dakota.

Darren grew up in the Beggs Assembly of God Church and in recent years attended the Blue Bell Free Will Baptist Church and for the last year and a half he attended Victory Church in Tulsa.  He loved serving at John 3:16 and any event that resulted in people being helped.

Darren is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Morgan, his brother Philip Todd, grandparents Perry and Eula Morgan and Tom and Ann Quinton.

He is survived by his mother Sue Morgan of Sapulpa; daughter Kristi Lin and her daughter Alissa; daughter Mandi and her husband Terron and their daughter Lillian; son Jesse Dakota of Tulsa; sister Juanita (Lefthandbull) Weisman and cousin Lisa Lauderdale; aunt Patsy Watkins and uncle Grant; aunt Sandra Duck and uncle Larry; aunt Pammy Lynn and husband Larry; uncle James Morgan and family; stepmother Barbara Morgan of Sapulpa; stepsister Kari and husband Harold and their sons, along with many cousins and friends.
