Clay Dalton Brumit

Clay Dalton Brumit, known to friends and family as Dalton (nicknames – Daltron, DJ Dalton), passed from this life June 24, 2018 at the age of 42. Dalton was born in Tucson, Arizona March 4, 1976 to Dolly Vaughn of Owasso, Oklahoma and David Wayne Brumit of Singapore.

Dalton’s travels with his family as he was growing up allowed him to experience many different cultures. They visited or lived in places such as Guam, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and the Philippines. He made friends wherever he went as he was a fun, caring and gentle person. He also lived in Tucson, AZ, Tyler, TX, Rosemont, MN, Bartlesville, OK and Tulsa, OK. He attended Union and Memorial High Schools.

He was an avid skateboarder and won several competitions in his pre-teens years. Dalton also loved music from a very early age. He created/mixed his own music in many different styles especially techno. He has DJ’d in various places in Tulsa as well. Hence the nickname, DJ Dalton. Dalton enjoyed playing video games. He loved playing video games and watching movies with Kylie. Other interests included eating his way through Sam’s Club, where most of the employees who manned the free sample booths knew him by name. Employers included Bluestem Integrated Printing, Bank of Oklahoma and Automated Mail Services.

He is survived by his daughter Kylie Samira Brumit of Sapulpa, OK; father David Wayne Brumit and wife Marie of Singapore; step-father Brien Vaughn of Owasso, OK; sister Darla Felice Brumit of Tulsa, OK; brother Deo Dominic Brumit of Colorado; nephew Bishop Brumit of Owasso, OK; niece Lily Anne Johnson of Tulsa, OK; grandparents Carl Reynolds and wife Uleta of Bartlesville, OK and Marylinn Cutright and husband Don Of Colorado; uncle Jim Reynolds and wife Kay of Bartlesville, OK; aunt Rhonda Stark and husband Joe of Collinsville, OK;

He was preceded in death by his mother Dolly Vaughn; and grandmother Lorene Reynolds.

Services are scheduled at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 7, 2018 at the First Methodist Church in Owasso.
