Carolyn Ann Peeks, 78, of Kellyville, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2022, at St. John’s Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Carolyn was born December 23, 1943 in Sapulpa to Charlie and Claudia Edwards. She attended Sapulpa High School until 11th grade.
She was a CNA at Northside Nursing Home for many years. At the time she was there, one of her brightest moments was when she found an abandoned baby on her car and she was able to save it. She later went on to work for and retired from the Kellyville School system where she was a janitor.
Carolyn met and married James, the love of her life, at age18. They recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.
She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed helping bikers with toys at Christmas for the toy runs. She loved to sew, crochet and make homemade candy at Christmas.
She was very caring and compassionate and always willing to help everyone. She not only raised her own kids, she also helped raise grand kids and many, many, other kids. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband James of the home.
Children, Lorraine and husband Roger Mikles of Sapulpa, Joe and wife Ronda Peeks of Kellyville, Jacky and wife Bonnita Peeks of Kellyville, Jamie and wife Angela Peeks of Kellyville, Wesley Peeks of Kellyville, April and husband Larry Strope of Claremore.
Grandchildren, Summer Ward, Lee Ward Jr., Sarah Sernas, Andrea and husband Dustin Wood, Savannah Peeks, Justin and wife Emily Henshaw, Jacky Peeks Jr., Ashley and husband Scotty Friend, Samantha and husband Charles Grace, Kelly Criner, Caleb Reed, Shelby and husband Zach Stokes, Tara and Fiance’ Krisjan Kristjansson, Brittany Peeks and 23 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Claudia Edwards, brother Tommy Edwards, two sisters, Janet McLaughlin and Glenda Moore: daughter, Kimberly Peeks and one great grandbaby.
Family visitation we be Friday, August 26, 2022 from 4-7 PM at Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, Ok
Services will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 @ 2 PM at Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa, OK
Interment will be at Kellyville Cemetery in Kellyville, OK, immediately following the service.
The family would like to invite everyone to come by her son Joe’s, in Kellyville, for dinner following the services. You can bring something to the dinner and/or just come by to visit and pay respects to the family.
