Carl Henderson, Jr.

Carl Wayne Henderson Jr. of Sapulpa, OK went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2019 at the age of 56. He was born to Carl and Virginia Henderson on February 15, 1963.
Carl attended school in Sapulpa and graduated in 1981. Following his time at Sapulpa High, he went to Central State University where he played baseball while pursuing a degree in Business Administration.
Carl married Lynn Henderson in 1988 and had three sons, Brady, Blake, and Bennett of Sapulpa.
Carl was an active member of the Sapulpa community for his entire life. He took pride in his ability to help others and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to someone in need; Carl was a true servant and follower of Christ. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially at the lake. Carl was involved in coaching youth baseball for nearly 30 years, from the Sapulpa Drillers to the Little Stinkers, and more recently coaching Bennett and his friends of the Sapulpa High School summer squad; he loved baseball almost as much as grooming and mentoring young men to succeed in life. In his earlier years, Carl spent countless hours in his garage working on mustangs with his dad, brother, and various other mustang enthusiasts in the area while their wives observed. More recently, Carl has occupied his time in the shop by completing various woodworking projects for his family and friends. Amongst all of his hobbies and time spent helping others, it was evident that Carl’s family was the most important thing to him in his life on earth. He loved his wife and his sons, and absolutely adored his new granddaughter.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Carl Sr., and mother, Virginia.
He is survived by his wife Lynn Henderson; sons Brady and his wife Sarah and their daughter Anna, Blake, and Bennett; brother Roger and wife Shelly and children Zac and Taylor, along with numerous family and close friends.
The family would like to thank the community for their generous support and acts of love during this difficult time.
