Bonita (Bohannon) Tucker 93, of Sapulpa, went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.
Bonita was born January 20, 1926 in Bethany, Oklahoma to Claude and Ruth Bohannon. She graduated from Pottsville High School, Pottsville, Arkansas in 1944.
Bonita met and married the love of her life, Richard Tucker on Flag Day 1945, and celebrated 62 years of marriage until Richard passed away in 2007.
She is survived by her 4 sons, Richard and his wife Virgie, William, Michael and his wife Sheryl, Thomas and his wife Savvy, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Sapulpa OK. She also was involved in the Lone Star Creek County HomeMakers Extension Club. She enjoyed her spare time by sewing, crocheting, studying God’s Word, taking social trips with her friends, and always made time for her family.
Her lifelong job was a deeply devout and cherished Mother, making homemade meals most always, keeping the house clean and orderly, making clothes, making the home soothing and filled with love and forgiveness, all the while keeping after and up with her family. She was supportive in most mischievous things her boys could think of. She loved to read nursery rhymes and short stories to her boys, which they passed on to their children. She had the heart of Jesus in her ministry of giving all she could to help almost every benefit there was to help. She was very creative in her use of ordinary things and was always mindful of others.
