It is with great sadness we announce that Bill Robertson passed away peacefully at home on January 4th, 2020 at the age of 86.
Bill will be sadly missed by his loving wife and best friend, Doris Robertson of Sapulpa along with her children Nancy and Kenny Goodwin and Steve and Tracy Ruhl; cherished nephews Robert and MaryAnn Robertson with daughter Mindy; and Randy and Shan Reynolds with sons Cory and Matt. He will be forever remembered by his many cousins and special friends.
Bill was born on June 28th, 1933 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Beulah Cox and Charles Robertson. He attended Sapulpa High School and graduated in 1952. He joined the Army in March of 1952 and served during the Korean War until March 1955. He later attended the Oklahoma School of Accounting and received a Bachelor of Commercial Science in 1959. He worked as an accountant for many years and especially enjoyed his years at Spirit Bank in Bristow, Oklahoma.
Bill and Doris spent several years traveling on cruises and taking special trips to Branson, Mo. with their dear friends Richard and Zella Fogel. Recently, both Richard and Bill received the Ambassador of Peace Medal issued by the Minister Patriots of Veteran Affairs of the Republic of Korea for their service during the Korean War.
Bill loved Horses, having coffee with his buddies at Steak-N-Eggs and his beloved OU sports teams! He was OU’s biggest fan! He was a member of the Sapulpa Mason Lodge No. 170 and was also a member of the First Christian Church where Bill and Doris were married a little over 5 years ago.
Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in Heaven watching over us.
