Betty Jean Washington was born October 25, 1934 to Alfred and Virgia Johnson in Bristow, OK. She departed this life July 14, 2021at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 19 days.
Betty, a lifelong Bristow area resident, first and foremost loved her Lord and savior. She worked diligently to provide for her only child Quincy working in many facets throughout her life. In 1980 she took a job with KWIKSET giving them nearly seventeen years before retiring. Crocheting was a longtime hobby for Betty. All who knew Betty could tell you she loved to fish and many of her friends and family shared in her time with a hook in the water. She loved to be surrounded by family; remembered by all for her joyous spirit, loving heart and infectious laughter.
Betty is survived by her son, Quincy Cooper of Kansas City Missouri; four grandchildren, Angela Cooper, Inell Williams, Lachonda Whetstone and Keisha Cooper; ten great- grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband, Leroy Washington, two sisters, Donna Walker and Yvonne Jamison; two nephews and one niece.
Services are scheduled for 11:00 am, Saturday, July 24, 2021 at New Life International Worship Center in Bristow, Oklahoma with Pastor Eric Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Durant Cemetery in Bristow, Oklahoma.
