Betty Jean Edwards, 92, of Sapulpa passed from this life on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Ranch Terrace Nursing Home, Sapulpa, OK. She was born on July 28, 1925 in Tulsa, OK to Roy H. and Louise (Wright) Baxter, Sr. She was a sales clerk for Morton’s Department Store. She had resided in the Sapulpa community all of her life. She was a member of the Sapulpa First Baptist Church.
Betty enjoyed playing Skipbo and Bingo. She enjoyed attending Pot Luck dinners and listening to music, traveling to Branson, watching Blue Bloods and Murder She Wrote.
Betty is survived by daughter, Karen Williams; and daughter, Sandra Brown; grandchildren, Stephanie Culver and husband, Terry; Kacy Kirby and husband, Steve; Steve Brown and wife, Gloria; great-grandchildren, Kyle Brown, Bryce Brown, Zachary Brown, Jaron Brown, Jaden Brown, Abby Wright, Hillary Wright, Chance Culver, Tyson Culver, Logan Culver, Kyler Kirby, Nate and Mason Sarver; several great-great-grandchildren; sister, Carol Ann Baxter; and many nieces and nephews.
Betty is preceded in death by husband, Leonard Edwards; parents, Roy and Louise Baxter, Sr.; son, Danny Wayne Edwards; granddaughter, Katherine Edwards; and 6 siblings.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 with Funeral services following on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 2 pm both at Smith Funeral Chapel, 1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK. Interment to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens, Sapulpa, OK.
