Anna Robertson

Anna Maria (Hood) Robertson of Sapulpa, OK went to be with our Lord Thursday May 16, 2019 at the age of sixty-four. She was a beloved mother, aunt, and grandmother.

Anna was born December 30th, 1954 in Tulsa, OK to Ormand Elihue “Bill” Hood and Emma Irene (Calcote) Hood. Anna was the fifth of nine daughters.

Anna moved from the family home in Sapulpa to California in 1975. There she was married and raised her family. Anna was blessed with seven children in all. In 2005 she moved back to Sapulpa to be with her ailing mother.

Anna was gifted with a heart of service, not only to care for her children, but others too. Anna went into the medical field as a nurse, where her service to others could be put to use. She remained in the nursing field until she became disabled due to medical issues in the early 90’s. Anna also used her heart of service caring for her friends and in sharing her love of the Lord.

Anna attended Sapulpa Bible Church led by Pastor Mike Fanning. Anna made her fellow parishioners her family, and loved them all very much. She joined in celebrating marriages, births, graduations, and mourned with them at the loss of fellow members. Anna loved to spend Saturday cooking special dishes for their after-service lunches, or crocheting something special for a new baby coming into the congregation.

Anna loved to cook for family and friends. She loved art and throughout her life created many beautiful drawings, paintings, ceramics, and crocheted items that she blessed friends and family with. She would never turn away anyone and always had an open door & meal ready for those who could use a meal. She always did her best to help anyone she knew was in need.

Anna loved her children and grandchildren and was a doting grandma. They always came first. She never missed an opportunity to spend time with them, and spoil them. Never a birthday, nor Christmas went without her being present to celebrate with them.

Anna was preceded in death by her father Ormond “Bill” Hood, mother Emma Hood, sisters Faith Hughes, Peggy Brixey, Celia Vinson, and son Jaime Schinski. She is survived by five sisters, her five boys, Benjamin Harris Marshall, Jermain Dereal Marshall, Trenell Louis McGough, Jonathan Virgil McGough, Lanvel Michael McGough, and one daughter, Christina Ann McGough (her youngest), and many grandchildren.

The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers in our time of sorrow.
