Alberta F. Gibson 79, of Kellyville went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at St. Francis South surrounded by her family. Alberta was born March 24, 1942, in Tehachapi, CA to Eugene and Gladys Wilson. Her family moved to Sapulpa, OK when she was very young where she later attended Sapulpa High School. She started her family when she was 18 years of age. She had various jobs when she was younger to make ends meet but her number one priority was always taking care of her family and raising her children.
Alberta married Lewis P. Gibson Jr. on July 20, 1968. They were married for 47 years prior to his passing in March 2016. They raised 4 children and took in numerous others along the way. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kellyville.
Alberta was known for being an amazing cook and always making more than enough food to go around. Even when her finances were very tight, she was able to create a feast and there was always room at her table for anyone that needed a good meal. She welcomed her family and friends with open arms and the kind of comforting hug that let you know everything would be okay. Whenever someone needed help, she was quick to volunteer and never expect anything in return.
Alberta enjoyed her family time! She worked hard to make every holiday and every person feel special. She was shy by nature and crowds caused her anxiety, but most people didn’t know that because she worked hard to overcome it and enjoy all life’s moments. She was loved dearly by all that knew her and will be greatly missed!
