Doris Ann Brown, age 74, passed away peacefully in the early morning of June 13, 2019.
Doris was born on January 7, 1945 in Magnolia, Mississippi to William and Ruth Broomhall. She was the eighth of ten children. At an early age, she and her family moved to Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She and her family moved often when she was younger. She graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1963.
In January 1967, she gave birth to her first child, Michael Anthony and then gave birth to Stephanie Michelle the following January. Her third child, Christopher Paul was born in July, 1976 and her final child, Kathryn Diane, was born in October, 1977.
Doris loved to read. Stephen King and Dean Koontz were two of her favorite authors. She also loved to travel and managed to see much of the US as well as some international travel to Canada and Germany.
She adored her grandchildren, Johnny(Bud), David, Reagan, Taylor, Ethan, Emily, Ava, Parker, Nicholas, Kevin, and Kalyb as well as her great-grandchildren Dominick, Aunika, and Gabriel. She also took on the task of raising her grand-nephew, James, and loved him as much as she loved all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her older brother Earl Broomhall and his wife Barbara, sisters Carolyn Wood and Gayle Crabtree, and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
Doris was cremated and her ashes will be spread at a later date at a location she loved.
No services will be held but there will be a get-together for her family and friends at a later date.
