The Sapulpa Herald conducted a man-on-the-street interview after the Jingle Bells Drawing, asking visitors to the Route 66 Christmas Chute, “What does Christmas mean to you?” Here are some of the responses we received:

Lynn Denny, Edmond: “Family and friends.”
Logan Curtis, Norman: “Christmas means togetherness, fun, and family.”
Craig Downs, Adair: “A time of love and family and our Savior.”
Mark and Renee Robertson, Tulsa: “Joy, peace, love, family, and giving.”
Dale Coonfield and his daughter Peyton, Edmond: ”Joy, happiness, and being together.”
Emily Wagner, Sapulpa: “It means just enjoying and being with your family, and celebrating Jesus.”

Dale Astel, Tulsa: “The most important thing is the religious aspect of it; the birth of Jesus and the joy that we see this time of the year, the community, and the children get so excited about Christmas, the magic of it.”
